I guess not many people are aware of the ticket resale market. I usually don&#39;t have problems with it. <br />I agree the play is hilarious and is a must see. It&#39;s expensive, but worth it. While the editor of the Parenting column of the New York Times might cover products from babies to teens, a blogger who is a mom to a 2-year-old probably won't care about Bratz dolls all too much! <BR/><BR/>I think the overall lessons of media relations and email protocol that we learned in school and in our daily practice is important, but there are so many bloggers out there who are unique and have slightly different bents on the same beat that I think it's really important not to lump them together too much. I do agree that bloggers and traditional media deserve the same level of respect and that bloggers often have the same (if not higher) levels of influence. <BR/><BR/>However, I do think that often their motivations to write about and engage with a brand or issue are different than traditional media, and require different types of engagement. It is essentialy what Melfi described, except it allows you to invite your Gmail/Gtalk contacts to see your location instead of your Facebook friends.<BR/><BR/>Only people you invite can see your location - not the entire internet. Here is a quote from the latitude page -<BR/><BR/>"Only friends you have explicitly invited or accepted can see your location."<BR/><BR/>See this link for more details: http://tinyurl.com/bd99ax<BR/><BR/>Personally, I think Latitude is great. You invite your friends in, choose what level of detail you want them to see (Exact location or city only) and then that's it. It seriously increases the probability of random encounters. There are plenty of people I would love to hang out with, but time is limited and everybody is busy... this allows me to take advantage of the proximity of fun people without having to actively seek out the location of each one of them. Very valuable in my opinion.<BR/><BR/>That being said, for me, Facebook would be a better platform through which to run an LBS like this. I have pre-built friend lists and already have privacy settings assigned to them.
