If you use the Internet at all, or heck even just a few hours a day and use it for main interactions I highly encourage you to read this article on The Verge by Paul Miller. Paul is taking an entire year off the Internet and documenting it. The quote above is from this week's article and I just love it.
I like how this isn't a "I unplugged for a month to write about why Twitter doesn't need me anymore" piece but more a story about how he's discovered more about the benefits of NOT being online.
Just think - a few years ago this story wouldn't be written because we didn't use it that much. We didn't rely on it for EVERYTHING and it didn't consume all parts of our day from meeting people, to work to fitness. Ah --- a simpler time ;)
