A look back on 2010...

Looking back on a year can be exhausting. I am exhausted as we speak. I didn't blog much this year, I think that was one of my resolutions last year and I barely kept it. Whatever. Moving on. There are many other things I didn't do, but as I think of how that sounds, it's much easier to look back at all I DID do. Because well, there was a LOT. So, here's a list, of what I can remember:

  • I started the year off on my couch with a lazy new years eve with my sister.
  • I was convinced to do the Ragnar Relay and it ended up being one of the best things I did all year.
  • I took trips to Rhode Island to be a bridesmaid and get dress fittings.
  • I had surgery on my arm (with a stud muffin of a doctor mind you)
  • I dealt with hard family news that ended all(positively) in the same year. (lucky lucky lucky)
  • I went to FOUR weddings, was in one of them. (Jess, Scott, Matt, Steve)
  • I visited New Orleans for the first time because of Steve's wedding. That city is amazingly crazy and I can't wait to go back.
  • I drank Four Loko. Twice. (and have vowed to never do it again)
  • I turned 27.
  • I got a new job.
  • I met some nice guys (balance that with meeting some idiots) = a neutral love life result this year: still single!
  • I went on my first vacation by myself to Fort Lauderdale. It was amazing and I recommend doing it.
  • I rode a mechanic bull.
  • I had many visitors here in New York.
  • I had a lot of fun client events. Things I would never go to, but went and loved every minute of it.
  • I went to an acapella show after forcing Yuna to enter a contest and we won, got free tickets, and met the group!
  • I saw a lot of Broadway shows. HAIR, West Side Story, Colin Quinn: Long Story Short, A Life in the Theatre, Promises Promises.
  • I went to Austin for SXSW Interactive.
  • I ran a few 5K runs.
  • I challenged myself.
  • I felt exhausted and crazed and sad and happy all within an hour long period.
  • I argued.
  • I laughed.
  • I smiled.
  • I cried.
  • I sang karaoke...a lot of it.
  • I went to California on my annual visit to my best friend. We went to San Diego for a mini trip.
  • I did the SELF Workout in the Park with Allie and Emily.
  • I walked around New York City a lot more and enjoyed this magical place.
  • I worked on Fashion's Night Out with my Barbie client following a truck of male models dressed as Ken dolls drive through NYC. Probably one of the major highlights of course. Holy abdominal muscles.
  • I made new friends, became closer with old friends and a few people exited my life, as it always happens.
  • I had a busy year. But that makes sense looking back now. It was a good one.

Here's to 2011!
